Understanding hibah
How hibah works, when it makes sense alongside a wasiat, and how Sampul helps you plan one.
What hibah is
Hibah is a gift made during your lifetime. Unlike inheritance, a valid hibah takes effect immediately and the gifted asset doesn't form part of your estate — which is why it's often used to provide for a spouse or children with certainty.
Hibah vs wasiat
A wasiat speaks after death and is limited to one-third of the estate for non-faraid beneficiaries; a hibah is a completed lifetime gift with no such limit. Many families use both: hibah for specific assets that must reach specific people, wasiat for everything else.
Planning a hibah in Sampul
Legacy → Hibah helps you map which assets you intend to gift and to whom, and keeps the documentation organized in your vault. Because hibah has formal requirements to be valid, Sampul flags where professional advice is needed and can refer you to a licensed planner.
